RSVP

Current residents who wish to continue living in University Student Housing can apply through the Renewal Selection Verification Process (RSVP).

For the 2025-2026 academic year, due to the growing demand for on-campus housing, we are implementing a lottery process available to current on-campus residents first. Details will be shared via email to current residents by December 20, 2024.

NOTE: Some special groups/populations will NOT go through the lottery process and will receive individual instructions about your process. These groups include: Presidential & National Merit Scholars, approved PHC Greeks, and Luckyday mentors.

2025-2026 Process - To enter the Lottery process for current on-campus residents for Fall 2025 / Spring 2026

Between January 6 to January 16, apply for housing for the Fall 2025 / Spring 2026 academic year in the Housing Portal. There is no application fee.

On January 21 by 5:00 p.m., students are informed of their lottery win or waitlist status.

Beginning February 3, the housing office may begin contacting waitlisted students as/if space becomes available throughout the spring semester.

Lottery Winners

Lottery winners:

  1. Decide if you want to reclaim your space or select a new residence
  2. Sign your 2025-2026 housing contract
  3. Select your bed space

Reclaim Your Space is for those who want to stay in their CURRENT space for the next academic year. You have the exclusive right to reclaim your space on January 23 at 10 a.m. through January 24 at 11:59 p.m. CST. After the 24th, any other lottery winner may claim your current space if you have not re-booked your space.

**Some criteria may prohibit you from reclaiming your current space, e.g., if you are occupying a dedicated space for a Fall 2025/Spring 2026 Living Learning or Theme Community.

Select a New Residence - You can select a new space from January 27 at 10 a.m. through January 31 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

NOTE: Future roommates are encouraged to log in simultaneously to select bed spaces in the same room if both are successful lottery recipients.

Waitlist Status

Those who did not win a place in the lottery will receive priority on the waitlist for a space in the coming academic year. This will still place you ahead of transfer students and current students who currently live off campus and wish to return to campus.

Our office will monitor space as it becomes available and notify waitlisted students as soon as space becomes available. The timeline is based on the demand of the coming first-year class and cancellations from students who were able to sign a housing contract and book a room for 2025-2026. Please note, there is no guarantee spaces will become available.
