Residence Hall Association (RHA)
The Residence Hall Association encourages campus involvement through programming and advocacy initiatives, allows students to have a voice through involvement in their residential community’s Council of Residential Experiences, and provides opportunities for leadership development through attending regional and NACURH conference.
All on-campus students are members of the Residence Hall Association and large-scale events are open to any Mississippi State student.
National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)
Join this international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of Residence Hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development.
Community Council
Each Residence Hall on campus has its own Community Council These Residence Halls on campus, host monthly events, decorate bulletin boards, pass legislation to improve the residence halls, and attend bi-weekly general body meetings. Community Council is a great way to get involved, connect with others, and kick off your leadership journey here at Mississippi State!
Residence Education
Why do we call our on-campus housing options “residence halls” rather than just “dorms”? The answer is in the BELL Residential Engagement Model. It is more than just having a place to sleep after a day of classes. Resident Advisors help our residents to develop meaningful relationships, manage their personal affairs, and effectively communicate while living in our halls. To help everyone remember why we live on campus, we named our model after a time-honored Mississippi State tradition: the cowbell.
